Classic Steel Models 8300 and 8500 are Wayne Dalton’s best-insulated residential garage doors and are durably made with two layers of steel surrounding a thick layer of foamed-in-place polyurethane insulation. These doors are offered in five classic and contemporary designs and a wide selection of painted and bi-directional wood grain finishes.
While Model 8300 comes with an impressive R-value* of 12.12, Model 8500 is our highest insulated residential garage door with an R-value of 16.22 using polyurethane foamed-in-place insulation, which can improve your home’s thermal efficiency, block street noise and make the door operate more quietly. Heavy-gauge steel wrap around end caps trim-out door edges for better appearance, improved strength, and damage-protection of the insulation.

Model 8000 is an uninsulated, single steel sheet door, while the Models 8100 and 8200 are insulated with polystyrene insulation. Model 8200 has an R-value* of 7.4, and Model 8100 has an R-value* of 3.7. For those living in coastal areas or parts of the country with high wind requirements, these models are available with wind load reinforcement.
Classic Steel

Wayne Dalton’s Model 8024 and 8124 doors provide homeowners with a reliable choice for both economy and value. Embossed 24-gauge panels have the strength of steel while a two-coat, baked-on polyester finish makes this model virtually maintenance-free.
The 8124 model also includes expanded polystyrene insulation.

Raised Panel Wood Garage Doors are constructed of 1 3/8" thick solid wood rails and stiles and are available in a variety of carved designs for the raised panels. These garage doors have mortise and tenon joints that are waterproof glued and steel pinned, to provide lasting strength. Shiplap-style connections between sections create a weathertight fit and assist smooth operation along with rust-resistant, hot-dipped galvanized steel tracks, and hardware.

Hope, Ohio, and our northwest wood artisans in Centralia, Washington, hand-build beautiful wood doors to your specification with thorough attention to every detail.
We use a combination of premium woods to enhance the look and performance of our wood garage doors. Hemlock makes a superb painting surface. Cedar is an excellent exterior-grade material, highly resistant to insects and rot. Mahogany has a tight, smooth grain and is naturally weather resistant. You can also specify a unique variety of wood. No matter what type of wood you choose, the result is a fine quality, a beautiful wood garage door that will yield many years of reliable performance.
